Yeah so both Vasudha; and Nikita tagged me. And I decided to do this quickly before more people do this tag and I run out of people to tag. Therefore, without further ado, here goes!
The Rules:Link to the person that tagged you.Post the rules on your blog.
Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
1. I am a compulsive doodler. Give me a pen or pencil and I’ll fill up the closest writing surface with swords and spears and weird looking man things and poorly constructed lopsided buildings and crazy patterns and whatnot. My hands automatically start doodling.
2. One of my truest ambitions is to one day hold a Colt Double Eagle to the back of a bad guy’s head (the bad guy would be threatening a lady) and go “I wouldn’t do that if I were you, laddie.” The scared bad guy will then drop his weapon, I will laugh and say “Wise choice”, holster my gun and begin walking away. The angered bad guy will then pick up his weapon and I will turn around, draw my gun and shoot him all in one fluid motion and then blow at the muzzle of my pistol and go “Mind it!”.
No, really.
3. This one is really hard to explain. I keep dividing phrases and words into parts of 3 characters in my head. Say the word is ‘champion’, then that becomes ‘cha+mpi+on’ but since the last part has two characters it becomes ‘nch+amp+ion’ or else the last letter from the preceding word or the first letter from the succeeding word is added. It’s really weird and fucking hard to explain.
4. I always fall asleep in a moving vehicle if Im seated for long enough and have no one to talk to. Kinda why I’m hesitant to learn to drive. Probably end up killing someone.
5. Lately I’ve taken to admiring and stroking my rapidly growing stubble in front of the bathroom mirror.
6. I am really scared of dogs. I used to refuse to step out onto the street if there was a dog anywhere nearby. It’s not that bad now but whenever there are dogs closeby I become edgy and nervous and my movements become stiff. Especially if the dog is behind me. I can almost imagine it pouncing on me.
My God that was tough!
And now I victimise:
Ishmeet
Amit
Ruhi
Sulz
CJ
That’s it. 5 people. I don’t follow rules. Bad-ass me! Muahahaha…!

If you’re a compulsive doodler, then you should put up some of your doodles on your blog.
I love them. You might find this interesting:
http://doodlebook.tumblr.com/
And this too:
http://eatsleepdraw.com
And I understood #3. Any kind of brain exercise is always good.
Re: the tag, I’m not very sure if I’ll take it up, because I’ve done a similar tag (8 random facts about myself) already. Besides, I’m not a very interesting person and have nothing much to reveal about myself
Bharat Iyer // March 3, 2008 at 1:34 pm |
I don’t have a webcam or a digicam or even a camera phone for that matter.
Doodlebook is neat.
And you don’t have to take up the tag, I was running out of people to tag and I tagged everyone whose blog I visit. Even then I fell short of the required number of tags.
Ish has done that 8 random facts tag and I tagged him anyway.
As for uninteresting, I wouldn’t say that.
I had a really hard time doing this tag. Most of my quirks (I am told I have more than my share of them) are completely normal to me.
Ruhi // March 3, 2008 at 1:50 pm |
Oh you can just get them scanned (from a cyber cafe) and put them up.
I’ll try to do the tag…let’s see.
It’s very difficult to come up with an (interesting) list. Like you say, most of my quirks are normal to me too. And there are some that I don’t wish to reveal. They are down right embarrassing.
Bharat Iyer // March 3, 2008 at 1:53 pm |
I got my painting scanned at the cyber cafe. Bloody highway robbery. 15 bucks per scan. I don’t have that kind of money. :/
Ah yes, there are the unbelievable embarassing quirks! I intend to take them to my grave/burning longboat.
ish // March 3, 2008 at 2:14 pm |
Oh, so you knew that I had done it already and still you shamelessly went ahead and tagged me?! Gesus, what is the world coming to?
I’m not gonna do it again because as you must have figured, it’s really difficult to think up six things about yourself. And I’ve already done it twice, not even once. So what I’m gonna do is that I’m gonna add your name to the list of the people who tagged me in my latest post. You know I’m lazy.
#2 was going very well but the ‘Mind It’ part made it very Rajnikant-ish. Even SRK said that in OSO if you watched that movie. I don’t think you watch crap movies do you?
#4: Okay, remind me not to drive with you if we ever end up going somewhere together. My dad does the same thing so he always carries chewing gums during driving and they help. Chewing gums don’t help me though ’cause I’m so lazy that I have one in my mouth and I forget to chew it. And then I go to sleep and two things can happen. Either I choke somewhere during the night or else I wake up in the morning and the chewing gum is still in my mouth.
#6: I’m the exact same here. Whenever I see a dog on the road, I start thinking that it is gonna pounce on me. And we’ve got many stray ones in our street so whenever I’ve got to go to my friends house..which is like 6 houses away from mine, I take the scooter. I wouldn’t risk walking that distance ever.
Bharat Iyer // March 3, 2008 at 2:44 pm |
Well the ‘Mind it’ part did it’s job then.
It was a lame after-thought joke thingo.
And I’ve seen a bit of OSO. I saw the Mind it part. I liked what I saw. OSO is goofy and entertaining. Will probably watch the whole thing soon.
I haven’t fallen asleep with chewing gum in my mouth yet. My parents refused to let me buy chewing gum when I was a kid because they were afraid I’d choke myself to death.
Especially my grandfather. He was really paranoid. I bought my first pack of chewing gum at the age of 7 – Chicklets. Pity they don’t make ‘em anymore.
Scooter to visit a neighbour!? Wastage of fuel! :O
I love to walk. I walk as far as possible. Otherwise it’s the bicycle or bus. Minimalism for the win!
ish // March 3, 2008 at 3:03 pm |
Yep, that ‘Mind It’ part was one of the best things about OSO. Yana Rascala! That was amazing lol. That and the gig on Manoj Kumar.
I remember chicklets! They used to be awesome, I too wonder why they don’t make them anymore. I don’t like many chewing gums ’cause most of them are mint and I don’t like mint. Spout Spearmint is one I like and Fusion is another. It ends there.
I don’t mind walking but I don’t wanna get bitten by one of the dogs. Hence, the scooter. And I hardly go to his house. I go there only to take his math registers because the guy makes awesome notes. And he’s in commerce with optional maths. I’m in Non Med and I hardly ever make notes. Shows how serious I really am lol

sulz // March 3, 2008 at 4:42 pm |
i feel the same way about dogs too. there was once i think the dog was about to bite me and i thought i was done for when the owner shouted at it. then i screamed at the owner for allowing it out.
no. 5 sounds kinda obscene if the word stubble wasn’t there!
Amit // March 3, 2008 at 9:30 pm |
#1 : Even I used to doodle earlier. All the last pages of my Class notebooks were filled with that. I even got a thrashing from my father because of that.

#2 : Ahh!! the James Bond effect. When i am in some sort of a sad mood, I too start imagining that I am a part of a Karan johar movie.
#3 : You keep on rotating the word like this? Wow. This is the first time I have heard about this.
#4 : I can’t sleep in a moving vehicle even if someone points a gun at my head. Just can’t do it.
#5 : Man!! I was so damn embarrased when I had my first shave. I wanted the earth to open up and swallow me.
#6 : I love dogs. Just try playing with pet dogs. Your fear will vanish in some time. believe me.

Finished the Meme. “Yey”
Nikita // March 4, 2008 at 7:06 pm |
*roaring with laughter*
A Colt Double Eagle pistol.. hehe.
Why not blast a Tommy Gun and say, “Keep the change you filthy animal.” ?
Bharat Iyer // March 4, 2008 at 8:01 pm |
Ish: Yeah, chicklets were great. And for me they have a certain amount of sentimental value too. Have you tried cinnamon gum? Those are actually teekha
Sulz: I was cycling down a dark street near my house once and suddenly this dog leaps out from a corner and pounces on the back tire. Bloody mutt sank it’s teeth into the back tire and refused to let go. And it was huge so it was difficult for me to keep cycling. I almost lost balance and fell down but somehow I kept on trying to go ahead and ultimately the dog gave up. Man I’d have been dead meet if I had fallen down…
And you have a dirty mind. *thumbs up*
Amit: Embarassment due to shaving… would depend on which region of the body was involved.
Besides, I don’t intend to shave. I’m gonna grow a badass beard like Jim Morrison.
Nikita: Thomsons are SMGs, kinda unweildy for this situation. Actually, now that I think of it, a revolver would be even better than a Double Eagle. Mainly because there won’t be any smoke coming from the muzzle of a Double Eagle. The best smoke would come from a flintlock but it would take forever to load and there is a good chance it might blow up on my face and now I’m rambling. *reddens and shuts up*
ish // March 4, 2008 at 10:11 pm |
Nah, I’ve never had cinnamon gum. Chicklets were the only thing I offered to a girl once, so yeah, some amount of memories attached with it as well.
And wow, you’re a very gun person. And LOL at Sulz’s comment. But you have no idea how dirty she can get.
Bharat Iyer // March 4, 2008 at 11:07 pm |
Chicklets to a chick… hehe
I don’t know much about guns really. Not nearly as much as I know about swords and spears and the likes. Ok so now I’m bragging. I’m allowed to brag on my own blog right?
Nikita // March 4, 2008 at 11:42 pm |
A fixation for guns and medieval weaponry…
*grins* Lock and Load ( I like the Garand rifle)
Anyone read Battle Cry? … “This is my rifle, this is my gun; this is for fighting, this is for fighting this is for fun.” – L.Q. Jones
Ish // March 5, 2008 at 2:03 am |
Yep, you can brag, do whatever you want on your blog. Whatever you do, it ain’t gonna get anywhere close to as weird as what one of your classmates did in the class.
Bharat Iyer // March 5, 2008 at 4:50 am |
Nikita: Have you been playing Medal of Honour?
The starting weapon in that game is an M1 Garand and God I hate it. I prefer SMGs to rifles anyway.
Ish: Righto, thought so. And he wasn’t my classmate, thankfully. Just some jackass senior. Grossest thing I ever heard.
ish // March 5, 2008 at 8:24 am |
OMG, I just remembered I’ve played one of those action kinda games too. It’s called Unreal Tournament. In that, my favorite gun is either the Flak Cannon, or the Minigun, or the Double Enforcer, or the Rocket Launcher, or the Redeemer. The Redeemer is pretty cool, kills everybody in the vicinity, including you if you don’t run for cover after firing it too close.
Ah okay, some senior. The things people do for “kicks”
ish // March 5, 2008 at 8:25 am |
Oh, and also the Sniper Rifle.
Bharat Iyer // March 5, 2008 at 9:08 am |
I’ve played Unreal Tournament.
It’s a fun game when all you want to do is shoot people to bits.
I don’t really have a preferred weapon in that game, it depends on the situation. Usually though, I use the Sniper rifle or plasma rifle. Flak Cannon is awesome in close quarters. The Rocket Launcher is a big, slow, messy ugly thing.
I’ve actually done some pretty cool stuff with the Redeemer in multiplayer like if most of the players are on an upper floor and concentrated in a small area, I fire the redeemer in that area and jump down to a lower floor.
arvind // March 5, 2008 at 9:40 am |
well , even i used to be doodler in my school days like amit said… not that i was good at it..i just wanted to kill the time when my physics teacher used to give her boring lectures..
and then evn now in my college there are lot of doodlers

2nd one is funny like the things i used to day dream too .. exactly like those close fights between cowboys somewhere in TExas ..
3 rd one is really interesting and a bit complicated to comprehend unless u too are into it .
4th wise choce man. ..
5ht hmm, well thats pretty obvious with most teenagers ..even i used to do that
6th … i agree with amit ..i love pets though my mom wont allow me to keep one..
@ ish
man , dont call that rajnikanth-ish movies,, he doesn’t do that …. :O
and did you call his moves crap ??
dude ,u dont want to start a controversy once again ,do u ???
Amit // March 5, 2008 at 10:17 am |
Have anyone tried Quake. Its damn good. And there is another one called Serious Sam….Its small but its very pacy. Worth a try. Well, I was too much into games at one time, but now all I play is NFS Underground.
Nikita // March 5, 2008 at 11:50 am |
Video game? *bursts out laughing*
I SUCK at video games.. (and that is a true understatement).
ish // March 5, 2008 at 12:37 pm |
@Bharat: The Rocket launcher is pretty cool if you have full health and God mode on. I love tearing people apart with 3-4 rockets at a time. And that’s why I like Unreal anyway. Whenever I’m angry at someone, I keep that person’s name as one of the bots and then keep killing it. Gives me some weird kind of satisfaction. And yeah, Redeemer is meant to be used in a particular place where people are concentrated and where you can hide behind or beneath something. I’ve played way too much Unreal.
@Arvind: Rajni doesn’t do that?! I thought that was where SRK copied it from in OSO. And I’m not saying his movies are crap. When I said “You don’t watch crap movies, do you?”, I meant it for OSO. Most people think it is crap.
@Amit: Never even heard of them. I’ve never been into video games much because I never had the kind of configuration that could run those good graphic games.
arvind // March 5, 2008 at 1:23 pm |
@ ish
rajni dint do that in any movie… its not only you…most people have wrong notions abt him,, and that scene in OSO was funny but was exaggerated to its maximmum limt ….
arvind // March 5, 2008 at 1:26 pm |
@ amit
i LOVE QUAKE 3 arena.. though latest editions have been released..
they dont work in my system..
they need a helluva graphics requirment ….
so i get satisfied by quake 3 …
Amit // March 5, 2008 at 8:06 pm |
Can we stop talking about OSO. That movie gave me the biggest headache of my life.
I still can’t believe someone made such a “THING”.
@Arvind : I don’t know about the latest editions, But Q3Arina was damn good. Also I loved Halo, Wolf, Medal of Honour, Spiderman, Batman, NFS, Mortal Combat….the list is endless. Ahh!!! Good old days.
Bharat Iyer // March 6, 2008 at 10:42 am |
Ish: I play without cheats.
And yeah, Unreal is a great game for venting. I have bots named after my teachers.
Arvind: I haven’t played Q3A yet. Might not run on this crappy system. Besides, I’m not much of an FPS person. I prefer RTS and the occasional RPG. Diablo II will always remain up there with the evergreen greats.
Amit: I hate racing games. I am HORRIBLE at them. Serious Sam was really boring. Halo was fantastic as was Wolf. Medal of Honour was really boring. I recommend Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe, it’s available for free on the net and its missions are much more creative than MOH. Also it’s insanely difficult. Just the way I like ‘em.
All 3 of you: The Mind It scene was a play on stereotypes. Accuracy was not in their agenda. I haven’t seen the entire movie yet but I liked OSO. It’ll drive you nuts if you take it seriously though. The movie doesn’t take itself seriously, why should you?
Vasudha // March 6, 2008 at 5:07 pm |
1. Doodlers have higher IQs than the rest of ye run of the mortals, amen.
2. Ooh, nice. You might want to have the theme from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly playing in the background. And get a lopsided cigar too, for added effect!
3.Wouldn’t it be cha+mpi+onc? If that wasn’t it, then sorry, I’m…thick?
4. I can never fall asleep while traveling. Its worse when I’m going by air, and I arrive with blood shot eyes at 8 AM after 13 hours of sleeplessness, with the whole day ahead of me.
5. Haha, self obsession!
6. Wimp.
Okay, just wanted to say that. I like bullying, y’know.
Dogs are fine as long as we play the ignore game with each other.
My aunt’s Golden Retriever once jumped on me [I was telling it to jump into an empty shallow pond thing they had, and I um, forgot to point? Lol.] Now, if something like that happens, then I’m a wimp too.
arvind // March 6, 2008 at 5:34 pm |
@ amit
yeah quakce 3 had its own charm ..
and yes nfs and mortal combat were good too…have u played tekkan ..thats an awesome game..
@ bharat..
quacke 3 runs on every crap ..:P it doesnt require anything … all u need is a system and a mouse …thats its.. yeah keyboard too
if anytime u get interest in first person games try quake editions ..its ultimate…
About OSO i accept ur point even i liked the movie ’s first half ..and entertainment wise it was good..songs were good … deepika was awesome…i wonder anybody has a better smile than her ..
but if the story lacks something..,.
@ish
i havn’t mentioned anything abt SRK so plz spare me ur arguments again..
Amit // March 6, 2008 at 7:50 pm |
@Bharat : yes, I have played Hidden and dangerous. The problem was that as the game proceeds the missions become very difficult. Its very hard to play it then. But yes the game was very good. Then there was another one called Blood omen. I wonder if you have heard of it? And Star wars….another one of my favourites.
@Arvind : Yes I have played tekken. Liked it, but somehow I like Mortal combat more.
arvind // March 6, 2008 at 8:51 pm |
@ amit

hmm …. i remember the days when i used to go to shops to play tekken 3 .. 5-6 hours continuously i used to play..
and yes mortal combat was fast … and easier to play…tekken had highly complicated combos..
..

Thanks for the tag, Bharat. Sorry I didn’t see it before now. I’ll do it in a couple of days or when I have blogger’s block, whichever comes first.
And I think I get what you mean with #3. I always used to divide words into syllables when I was trying to understand phonetics; it just seemed easier to imagine them separately, and I do the same with haikus when I’m trying to work out the syllables. So that makes sense.
And #2 on your list – LOL! I think a lot of guys have that kind of fantasy. We all want to be Clint Eastwood or Schwarzenegger. Speaking of guns and games, btw, have you played Call of Duty 4 yet? It’s supposed to be good and I keep meaning to pick it up.
I have a thing about dogs too. When I was 6 a pit bull came about 3 centimetres from mauling me badly and I still can’t go anywhere near those kind of dogs. I still can’t believe people keep them as pets around children. And people wonder why I’m more of a cat person.
Bharat Iyer // March 7, 2008 at 11:42 am |
Vasudha: I can’t sleep in trains. I always sleep when travelling by air. I hate air travel and it always gives me a headache for the entire day.
I don’t mind dogs as long as they leave me alone either. Dogs tend to develop an instinctive dislike for me though. I’ve never seen a pet dog yet that didn’t snap at me.
I was coming home from a friend’s house late one night and this dog started following me. It was maintaining a gap of around 10 feet and would stop whenever I stopped and then start moving again when I would. It was pretty late and the streets were deserted too. It followed me all the way back home and boy was that unnerving. I didn’t have the courage to ring the bell and wait for my mother to open the gate. I just jumped over it.
Maybe I am a wimp. I don’t really care. *shrugs*
Arvind: I might try Q3A sometime.
Amit: Yeah H&D:D is pretty tough. I haven’t heard of Blood Omen. I’ve played Star Wars: Phantom Menace. Has some pretty complex lightsabre moves. I didn’t learn them properly so at the end when I had to fight Darth Maul I kept losing.
CJ: Call of Duty 4 will not run on my system. Call of Duty 1 didn’t run on my system.
I don’t like cats either. I’m not much of an animal person really.

Have you tried the Star Wars racing game. Its pretty fast and graphics are also good. There was a time when my father was soo worried that i’ll break the keyboard because of the force with which i used to bang it.
